If you're thinking about buying a home in Boise, STOP! Never do it alone! Did you know if you don't hire your own agent you don't have anyone looking out for your best interest? It’s true! If you walk into a model home, call the agent on the sign or click contact the agent button, that agent works for the builder or seller. Sure they can sell you the home but they are required to look out for the seller. Who’s looking out for you? This mistake can cost you thousands of dollars and make the seller more money.
Here’s the deal, most builders and sellers agree to typically 6% commission and that’s split between the buyer’s agent brokerage and the seller’s agent brokerage. If you don’t have an agent, where does the other 3% go? Well many times it goes back into the seller’s pocket. So why wouldn’t you have someone working for you? It doesn’t cost you a thing to have an agent represent your best interest in buying a home. The seller pays all my fees!
